All artworks in this section were painted during the summer of 2023 following a short holiday in Lanzarote earlier in the same year.   I took so many photos and these pieces are abstractions, reflecting my fascination with the landscape on this small island.  Due to personal circumstances of 2023 which influenced the work,  they hold a very special place in my heart.  The gold threads in some of the pieces is a nod to the Japanese art of Kintsugi, and represents the role these pieces played in personal healing and renewal.
